Description
Progeny is a pedigree drawing program that directly links to a relational database. Data entered into Progeny is stored in a relational database, giving you all the advantages of managing and retrieving data on the fly. With its intuitive graphical interface, you can generate spreadsheet reports, run queries, record patient data, or graphically represent data on a pedigree, all with the ease of clicking a button.

Purchase/installation
You can evaluate Progeny for 30 days by downloading a copy from Progeny Software's web site at http://www.progeny2000.com. If you decide to purchase a licensed copy of Progeny, you need to request a CD key from Biomedical Informatics by sending an email to software@cchmc.org. In your email, provide the following information:
- name
- department
- budget number
- business director
- software requested
- operating system (Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP, Mac OS 9, OS X)
- asset tag for the machine on which the software will be installed (for example, P03-9999)
- detailed description of how you intend to use the software
Once you obtain the CD key, you will use it register your copy of Progeny.
Registration
Install Progeny with the CD key. Then call Progeny Software, LCC (800-776-4369) and ask to register the product. You will be given an unlock code and further instructions. Progeny Software requires you to obtain the code so that they can keep track of our licenses.
