GeneSpring

Gene expression analysis software.

Availability and costs

GeneSpring is available to researchers at CCHMC and UC on a cost-shared basis. For details on the cost please contact Eszter Belcher, BMI Business Director.

The Division of Biomedical Informatics charges a nominal fee for those wishing to participate in the shared usage of this software licensing.  Genespring is very expensive - and BMI needs to recover some of the cost associated with the floating licenses we purchase annually.

We currently have eight floating licenses for GeneSpring, so that the client can be installed anywhere and just needs to be connected to the license server.

Purchase and install instructions

To request Genespring, send an email to software@cchmc.org and include the following for each instance of Genespring you are requesting:

  • Employee name
  • Department
  • Budget number
  • Business director's name
  • Software requested (Genespring)
  • Asset tag for the machine on which the software will be installed (for example, P03-9999)

Genespring on the Cluster

GeneSpring can also be run on the Linux cluster as well as on several large-memory servers. If you are interested in using Genespring on the cluster, please email help@bmi.cchmc.org.
