DNAStar Lasergene

Notice
Effective Monday, Feb 25, 2008, any previously installed versions of DNA Star's Lasergene no longer will work. If you wish to use Lasergene and have not done so already, please follow the instructions below to purchase a current license for this software. The latest version will be installed on your workstation.
Description
Lasergene is comprehensive software for DNA and protein sequence analysis, contig assembly, and sequence project management with an expanded next-generation sequencing assembly capability.
Available to
All Cincinnati Children's employees
Cost
$100/year per user to participate in the floating license pool.

Purchase and install instructions
If you wish to use Lasergene, send an email to software@cchmc.org and include the following for each license you wish to purchase:
- Employee name
- Department
- Budget number
- Business director's name
- Software requested (Lasergene)
- Operating System (Windows XP or Mac OS X)
- Asset tag for the machine on which the software will be installed (for example, P03-9999)
Biomedical Informatics will review your request and coordinate with Information Services to have Lasergene installed on your workstation.
