How to find your computer name in Windows XP.
To determine your full computer name, required for software installs using SMS, complete the following steps:
1. Open the System Properties screen in one of the following ways:
- Right-click the My Computer icon on your desktop and click Properties.
- Click the Start button, right-click My Computer and click Properties.
2. Click the Computer Name tab:
3. Go to Full computer name. This name should be submitted with your software installation request.
